Here are some answers to the questions we're hearing most often:
I'm a current Whitecaps ticket holder. Can I place additional deposits?
All current Whitecaps season ticket holders will be given an opportunity to place additional deposits at their current priority number when they renew their tickets for the 2010 Whitecaps season before October 1, 2009.
If you are a current season ticket holder, your renewal package has been sent out with instructions on how to confirm your seats for 2011 at your current priority number. If you have any questions about your account, contact your account manager at 604.669.WAVE (9283).
When will phase two deposits open up?
Phase two deposits will be opened once demand from current Whitecaps ticket holders is determined. Phase two will be opened based on remaining available inventory. To put your name on a waitlist to be notified before the general public when phase two deposits are opened, click here.
How much is a deposit?
Deposits are $50 per seat.
How does the priority system work?
When seating selection becomes available, priority will be assigned to current Whitecaps season ticket and 5 match pack holders first, followed by Vancouver MLS 2011 phase one depositors, followed by phase two depositors.
Priority will be assigned to depositors based on the order in which their deposit was placed.
How many deposits and season ticket spots are available?
Based on the size of the lower bowl configuration in the new BC Place, we anticipate that season tickets will be capped at 16,500.
Five thousand phase one deposits went on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday March 21, 2009 and are now sold out.
You can secure your tickets immediately through 2010 Whitecaps ticket packages, or you can place your name on a waitlist to be notified in advance of the general public when a second phase of deposits is opened.
Both Toronto and Seattle sold out their season tickets before they even played a game, so consider getting in now to make sure you are not disappointed.
Why were only 5,000 deposits available for phase one?
Current Whitecaps ticket holders and partners will have priority access to secure their seats for the 2011 MLS season.
We need to make sure our current supporters are looked after before we release additional deposit spaces.
How can I get on a waitlist?
You can place your name on a waitlist for 2011 season tickets by clicking here. When a second phase of deposits is made available, waitlisted fans will be contacted before the general public to put down their deposit and secure their spot. A second phase of deposits will be released based on available inventory once current Whitecaps ticket holders have secured any additional seats at their current priority number.
Is my deposit refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable.
One hundred percent of the deposit will be applied to your 2011 season tickets.
How can I purchase 2010 Whitecaps season tickets?
Whitecaps season ticket package holders are at the front of the line for 2011 season tickets.
